The SalivatorsThe Salivators are on of the hottest bands to hit the Delaware scene in many years. The band consists of Salli Fulkerson (vocals), Jimi Brown (guitar and vocals), Greg Haughey (bass and vocals) and Ron Orland (drums). Salli has been singing professionally for the last four years in the duo Salli & Jimi. Her beautiful and powerful voice is well suited to the range of material she performs, which Jimi Brown has been playing professionally nonstop for over twenty five years. He is known for his wide-ranging musical tastes, bringing a mix of rock and roll, funk, blues and jazz to every gig. Over the years, Jimi has played with Tyme, Piaint the Town, Flashback, Hot Wire, Salli & Jimi and for the last 2 years, with The Salivators. In addition, Jimi has recorded two CDs - one of all original music (entitled Eclectic Guitar, which has been featured on WSTW's Hometown Heroes) and one of solo classical guitar pieces. Salli & Jimi have just recorded and released their debut CD "Been Seen on the Road." Greg Haughey is a transplant from Pittsburgh, PA, where he established himself as a singer, songwriter, and guitar player. He led several bands: (RAOUL & THE PASSIONS, TEMPO TANTRUM) to success in Pittsburgh clubs and on the radio. He's been featured on radio programs such as "Rock in Pittsburgh" and "Saturday Night Blues with Bumblebee and Slim," and earned regular radio play with original songs such as "Pingk Pumps" and "You Say." He was also a featured artist at the 3 Rivers Arts Festival with John Lee Hooker, and has followed in the footsteps of the likes of Springsteen, Stevie Ray Vaughn and others by playing notable clubs like The Decade and Graffiti. In 1993, he moved to Dover, Delaware and re-established himself as one of the most sought after bass players on Delmarva. He currently works with as many as half a dozen bands at a time, displaying vocal and instrumental talents in Rock, Jazz, Blues, Classical, Country and Big Band arenas. Ron Orland moved to the Eastern shore 3 years ago. A native of Central Illinois, Ron studied percussion at Illinois State University. Since graduating, he has performed in virtually every genre over the past 27 years from symphony orchestras to drum & bugle corps. Because of this diversity in all styles, he is often seen substituting with many local musicians at a moments notice. Since moving to the shore, Ron has recorded a CD with Lower Case Blues, the Jeff Irwin Jazz Quintet and the Cape Henlopen Theatre Project. When not performing, Ron enjoys helping fellow musicians as a sales associate at B&B Music. Together, The Salivators create one of the best musical shows on the East Coast. Their mix of classic rock and roll, Motown, and current pop and rock favorites make every Salivators show a must-see. They have played to packed houses throughout the state, including this year's Governor's Ball and regualar gigs at Four Corners Tavern in Elkton MD, City Tap in Smyrna, and Trader Lee's in Ocean City MD.
